The Little Barn

Property reference number: E4994

Cathy's Say

In a nutshell: Comfortable, ideal location for exploring North Cornwall. On arrival at one of our Cornish cottages you will be keen to discover what the county has to offer. Just a couple of miles away is the village of Altarnum, probably one of the prettiest in Cornwall. Nestling in a valley there is a 15th-century packhorse bridge across the river, many attractive granite buildings as well a fine church, known as the 'Cathedral of the Moors'. The Rectory is featured in the novel Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier, who was said to have been a visitor to the house. Just a short drive away is Launceston, an ancient market town which was once the capital of old Cornwall. It is quintessentially Cornish, with its Georgian houses, narrow streets and market square all overlooked by its castle keep high on a mount.
